CrewAI - Building the Agentic Future Together

Thank you! This week was incredible and humbling, it marked an important step for CrewAI and building an agentic future together with our community, customers, and partners. From our new platform launch to major partnerships like IBM and PwC. This team is truly one of a kind and I'm grateful for it.

CrewAI - Building the Agentic Future Together

It’s Saturday, and as I sit outside watching our dogs play in the backyard, I’m reflecting on everything we announced this week. What a week it’s been! Join me for a quick recap as we look at where CrewAI stands today—and where we’re headed next.

Before diving in, I want to extend a huge thank-you to our incredible team, whose hard work made this week possible, and to everyone using CrewAI—I’m incredibly grateful for your support, and don't take it for granted. I promise we’ll keep delivering.

The Future is Agentic

AI agents are becoming a driving force in work and business, and the benefits are simply too big to ignore. We’re have customers saving hundreds of thousands of dollars by using them, I'm talking about a massive leap in productivity, efficiency, and innovation—the kind of transformation that every business will soon need to harness.

At CrewAI, we see this future as inevitable. From finance and healthcare to logistics and tech, companies are quickly realizing that they can’t afford not to integrate AI agents into their processes. This industry is quickly expanding and genie is not getting back into the bottle.

We jumped from a 10% accuracy on code generation to our clients
to a 70%+ accuracy [...] One of the benefits of CrewAI is anyone can create agents.

Jacob Wilson
Commercial CTO of GenAI at PwC

Our goal is clear: make this agentic future not only accessible but actionable. CrewAI exists to empower businesses to achieve real value quickly with AI agents. The way we see it, every business deserves the chance to leverage these capabilities to the fullest, and we’re here to make that happen faster and more effectively than anyone else.

Realizing This Vision

For this agentic future to become a reality, four key pillars need to be in place: enterprise-readiness, complexity support, universality, and most important, simplicity. These are standards we work to uphold at CrewAI because we know that without them, businesses won’t be able to leverage AI agents to their fullest potential.

Enterprise-Readiness is notoriously hard to achieve. AI agents need to operate seamlessly at scale, with the stability, security, and reliability that enterprise businesses demand. This goes way beyond AI features and few platforms can deliver this level of trust.

Complexity Support is equally challenging. AI agents deployed in real-world workflows face diverse, nuanced demands that go beyond isolated tasks. Making AI agents truly useful means understanding these complex processes and making them accessible and manageable across industries

Universality, connecting to multiple platforms, LLMs, and tools so that no company feels boxed in — is a monumental task, yet it’s essential for AI agents to function within an organization’s existing ecosystem.

Finally, Simplicity is perhaps the biggest challenge of all and yet the most crucial pillar. In such a nascent and fast-moving industry, the only way businesses can keep up is if agents are extremely easy and quick to plan, build, test, deploy, and monitor. This simplicity allows companies to experiment with multiple use cases and double down on what works. This transforms the economics of adoption in a powerful way.

Building This Future Together

This past week marked a series of meaningful steps forward on the path to an agentic future, each milestone reflecting our commitment to building this vision together with the community, customers, and partners who inspire us to keep pushing forward. Thank you for your trust in us!

CrewAI and IBM

On Monday, we took a major step forward by partnering with IBM to bring CrewAI’s multi-agent orchestration together with IBM’s watsonx.ai.

I'm excited about not only the integration with watsonx.ai but also our ability to serve customers together given IBM's consulting branch and some of the opportunities we have been exploring.

Investment and Growth

Tuesday we announced we raised over $18M with support from industry leaders, including angels like Andrew Ng and Dharmesh Shah. I'm humbled by the support of such amazing group of people and also the community! CrewAI’s open-source and enterprise platform now powers over 10 million agents per month, and is used by an estimate of nearly half of the Fortune 500.

In 6 months, we’ve signed 150 beta enterprise customers and with this investment, we’re accelerating our ability to deliver CrewAI Enterprise to even more companies while also expanding the OpenSource offering.

Education and Community

Wednesday we launched a new course with Andrew Ng on DeepLearningAI, dedicated to advanced practical use cases with CrewAI.
I’m humbled to share that Andrew has also joined our cap table as an investor – This is truly special given how knowledgeable Andrew is and the fact that he has seen all projects out there. His choice to invest in CrewAI is both an honor and a vote of confidence in our work that I don't take lightly.

This course was a collaborative effort from both the CrewAI and DeepLearningAI teams (thank you all for the hard work). We’ve built it to empower engineers and companies to extract real value from AI agents in complex workflows, and we were thrilled to include an in-depth interview with Jacob Wilson, PwC’s CTO of Commercial GenAI, who shared how CrewAI is already making a difference in production environments.

AI Agents Week

From Monday to Wednesday, we hosted AI Agents Week, an online event that brought together over 4,500 attendees for a series of webinars.

We decided to bring the community together so we could talk about use cases, what we are seeing being built, and how we are trying to help people build it. In any new industry education plays a huge role on adoption and given all the feedback we got you can expect us to expand AI Agents Week in the future!

Platform Launch

And finally, on Friday, we launched the CrewAI platform. It's our early take on all the pillars necessary to make this agentic future a reality, enabling businesses to plan, build, deploy, and iterate on AI agent workflows at speed and scale, unlocking real-world value without the constraints of traditional node based “if this, then that” automation.

This launch is just the start. At CrewAI we believe agents must have true agency, moving beyond rigid automation and building for the future, not the past. We’re the fastest-moving team in this space, and we’ll continue to iterate, innovate, and push boundaries to create a future where AI agents empower businesses in ways never before possible.

Conclusion and What is Next

There is a lot we are working on still and this is early in our journey, expect to see an increase pace of development and expansion as we double down on what is working and drastically expand the customers we have been working with. More educational opportunities, more features and innovation to come!

This is an open invitation to everyone building AI Agents—let’s create this future together. Every partnership, every product update, and every community member brings us closer to defining a new industry, and we couldn’t be more excited to have you with us on this journey. Together, we’re making the agentic future accessible, actionable, and inevitable.
